Ok, the passenger side liner came out nice and easy. The rear of the driver side came out easy enough. The front section however. I had to 'chisel' it all off (hammer and a putty knife). The entire thing was melted to the floorboard.

Driver's front is where the cat is under the vehicle. Gets really hot under there. probably cooked the tar on nice and good.

Got it Dual-Registered last week. The On highway side is non-op'd. I've got my OHV Sticker now but I don't wanna put it on the car.. you know, peeled off by asshole kids, scraped off by rocks and trees, etc.. so what do you do?

Yup, you run down to Home Depot, buy some Lexan, 6-32x3/4" and 6-32x1" screws with washers and nylon lock nuts and a 6-32 tap set.

Also helps if you have an end mill to remove about a 1/32" of an inch for the sticker to rest in.

You cut it down to size (add about 3/8" on each side to allow room for milling the center and drilling screw holes around the outer edge).. Mill the back piece.. drill your screw holes.. redrill the top piece with a slightly large bit as you are not threading the top.. tap the back piece.. set the OHV sticker on the back and plop the top on it.. start putting the edge screws in.. put the corner screws in.. mark the body.. drill oversize holes in the body.. push the OHV holder into the holes and attach your washers and nuts.. you may need to use washers on the outside as spacers so the holder tightens down square.

Ok, so I need to buy new wheels cuz uh.. the ones I bought won't fit now. That's right, nice because of the size, but the bolt pattern. 5 on 5.5 won't fit on the Toyota axles I'm picking up next month. I could buy two sets of adapters for like $250, but why bother.. ..that's half a set of new wheels...

Once I get the solid axles I have the daunting task of 4 linking the rear and tying to 4 link the front. I don't wanna 3 link it. I priced out the heims, DOM and everything I'll need. Ya. $1800 +shipping. This is gonna start gettin expensive.

Are you building your own version of Trail Tough ( http://www.trailtough.com/ ) Trail Slayer suspension that uses Toyota axles??

Basically. With the help of some friends and local shop or two I'm going to fab a custom 4link ear and hopefully 4 link front.

The Trail Tough kit is nice and all, but it may not use the parts I want... plus at $2800 +shp it's not cost effective. Granted it's already been engineered but You could actually build it yourself cheaper. The rod ends, jam nuts, tube adapters and DOM come to about $1500.. Cheaper if you git with smaller rod ends, I'm using 1.25" ends that require a 1.5" ID DOM. Shocks are $100 ea for MX6000's, springs are cheap. The only hard parts are fabbing the frame brackets and getting the geometry right. As for the Diff housing mounts, Ballistic Fabrication makes those.

Another problem is the driveshaft. They proved a single rear driveshaft with an adapter. No front driveshaft or adapter. The driveshaft is a single solid piece with ends that need to be modified. Well, I plan on sending my transfer case to O.T.T. to have the Kicker 2 modification done. That means I need a shorter driveshaft that can operate at a higher angle. The driveshaft with the Trail Tough kit is rendered useless. I'll be getting custom driveshafts from either my local custom driveline shop or from Driveshaft Superstore. Their custom 80° Bad Boy CV shafts run about $775 each, but allow for more extreme operating angles.

Can't return / sell them as I had them mounted and balanced already. No one makes an adapter to go from 6x5.5 to 5x5.5, however, I did find an article on Pirate 4x4 written by a guy who redrilled his rotors for the new bolt pattern. This should alleviate my bolt pattern issue. I'm starting to not look forward to linking the axles. Its gonna cost A LOT of money that I don't have right now.

Well, the wheels are $104 each, so about $440 for all four? pf... that's nothing. So no, it didn't. Besides, they will fit my 99 or I can take them to my local shop and they'll sell no problem.

it's garaged, literally, right now... money's been a little tight, i've been workin on the 99 (Rebuilding the tranny and replacing the clutch), plus I have to get a computer for it now since the folks I got the engine from failed to send the ECU. They promised over 3 months ago they'd send it. I talked to them several times and each time they sdaid it would go out the next day. Haven't seen it. Do not buy from Dakota Auto Center on ebay. Nice people, but total lack of follow thru and commitment.

Check out my feedback for them. If you need to justify it, look at the feedback i've left for other people. In the last 6 years I've never left negative feedback, even if I wasn't happy I'd only leave neutral. (Tri_guy27 totally dicked me around for 2 months waiting for my stereo. tried blaming his sister for not shipping it....) Negative feedback isn't my style unless you REALLY screwed up.
